Bonita’s Satin Bonnet is a small business based in Adelaide, South Australia. We make quality handmade satin bonnets and unique hair accessories.
How we started
My small business was inspired by my great need to maintain healthy natural hair and my desire to help others to do the same. For years my afro-textured hair suffered severely from dryness, split ends, frizz and breakage due to me not covering my hair overnight to protect it from rubbing against the rough surface of moisture-absorbing cotton pillowcases and bedsheets.
I started my business because for many years I desperately searched for satin or silk bonnets at the local beauty stores where I live, but could not find any. So I decided to make my own bonnets and I shared with my family and friends. On seeing the amazing results and benefits we’ve experienced with wearing satin bonnet at night, and how much my family and friends love it. I decided to start my business and make these bonnets available to all who would like to maintain healthy hair.
